Our Story
At Toney Woods & Assoc, our story began with a passion for helping individuals recover funds that rightfully belong to them. We are a consulting group that reviews government agency records throughout the country and find surplus funds that are owed to our clients. We work to get those funds back into the hands of our clients and their family members. We are now also working to rebuild the city of St. Louis, MO after the tornado destruction in May 2025 left so many residents of the city homeless or in unsafe living conditions.
Our process
Schedule an appointment
Step 1:
Upon your decision to work with us, we schedule a phone appointment to discuss the documents needed to get started. All documents must be signed in the presence of a notary in order to file for funds on your behalf. We will set up a mobile notary to come out to you or you can go to a notary to have signatures verified and recorded.
Open your Unclaimed Fund Case or sign a purchase agreement.
Step 2:
Once the paperwork and signatures have been filed, we will submit documentation to various government agencies to verify that the claim is valid. It may take up to 1-3 months to hear back, depending on the county or state. When we receive a response from the government official and all paperwork is filed and approved, we just wait for the paycheck to arrive.

Step 3:
When we receive the approval from the gov't officials and the estimated time that the check will be received, we will contact you with the update and submit a check to you based on the agreed upon terms. You will receive your check no longer than 15 days from the date the check arrives in our office.
